Ok I am trying to keep you updated with my *yawn* boring life. I was in my shop today painting faces, sewing doll clothes, and well you will see just taking this and that pictures. IF* and I know it will* the snow ever goes away and IF *I know it will* the sun ever comes out again I will be able to get out of this house and go ???? who cares anywhere. Although I am getting tired of just going to the grocery store. I am ready for a trip to florida and visit some family and friends but gotta wait until the interstate is just a bit cleaner. So here are the pictures I took today in my little world.

Now it is winter

My goodness it has been so long since I have been in here. Since I have last been here Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve and valentines day have passed. Not much new in my life. I am still sewing my dolls and listing them on ebay. However my plans are to just list on Etsy in the future as soon as I figure my pay pal and shipping out. Hopefully I can talk my son into helping me, I will post some pictures of our snow, some dolls I have been working on and odds and ends. I hope to keep this blog updated a lot better then I have in the past.

Yes that is why I have not been on here. First my father has been sick and in and out of the hospital and rehab and second we have been in a remodeling mode in our home. So I have been cleaning up after my husband and myself. And last but not least I have been getting ready for my one and only craft show of the year. It is November 13 and 14. After that I will be having a house full of company for Thanksgiving. I will try to post some pictures of items for my craft show and my Thanksgiving celebration.

Last of the summer flowers

Sad to say but my summer flowers are fading away HOWEVER my all time favorite flowers are blooming. I just love mums and last winter most of mine died out. Judi(my neighbor) got me three of them for watering her flowers while they were on vacation. Her flowers are like a huge park I will post pictures some day. Meanwhile I walked around the yard and snapped some pictures. The pool has its winter cover on it now and the mums are blooming but my gourds just keep on vining.

Well I must say this has been one busy summer with traveling and company. We have five children all over the USA. This summer we visited each one EXCEPT Donna. Now Donna lives about 45 minutes from us. This last weekend of summer we visited our son,Andy and his lovely family. They live in Clarkston Michigan. They have moved into a beautiful condo since we have been up there last. This is the living room and this is the dining area

and on Labor Day my daughter in laws family came over with us and Andy smoked pork all night,This is corn on the cob on the grill. Probably the BEST corn I have ever eaten in 63years of my life

Then our trip was over. Here we all are getting ready to leave to our individual locations. Jacob and Colin to their first day of school. Well since I will be gone when CPLG(country&Primitives Ladies Group) themed auction starts on ebay (picture on right side you just click on it and it will take you to all them)Anyway I cannot start my auctions until August 20 so I can be back in time to ship out all the items I sell hee heee anyway thought I would give you a sneak peek at some of them. I have to take pictures and get all written up and schedule them before I leave so that is why I am working on this now hee hee
I have a few more to finish yet and some more pictures to take but here is one of my new items. I just love it got one for myself too. I sit mine on our mantle however they are perfect for a desk at work, the coffee table or end table. For sitting on a shelf they are just perfect. Really like the idea of sitting them on a desk at work for that little seasonal pop.

Clean house and fall decorations

So we will be on the road so much in the fall too thought I better get my house decorated so when I run in the door between trips I could enjoy my fall decorations. Did not start out to do this yesterday was just going to wash our bed sheets, spare room bed sheets and run the vacuum well you know how that goes one thing just lead to another. I do have a reasonably clean house now, all the summer red,white and blue decorations are put away until next year(well most of them some I just like out all year long). So I took some pictures, but remember my talent in life is not taking pictures.

I know it has been so long since I have posted on my blog. We have been on vacation most of the summer either traveling or entertaining company. so thought I would come in and give you a heads up I am listing fall dolls on ebay right now. first one is a raggedy I have drawn the face on with pencils(the eyes) and painted the rest of her face on. this is new to me so need to keep practicing drawing those eyes. I think she turned out cute though. The fabrics are some of my favorites for fall

vacation in Daytona Beach Florida

Oh it is vacation time and I love love love it down here just a few pictures of our vacation. We went to our former pastors and Leta's house for a few days in Saint Cloud before we came over here to Daytona. Bro. Todd has had detached retina surgery and Leta is having alot of trouble with her blood pressure but we still had a wonderful time. We arrived in Florida during a heat wave. Did not know they even had those down here. But the beach and pool make it really nice down here.
Here is a picture of Bro.Todd with his head down. He has to sit with his head down for about 4 hours a day. He has a little rigged up item that he uses and of coarse we had to kid around with him.

Ok this is really how he has to sit for four hours a day and that is IZZY RUNNING away from me taking his picture.

Just a walk around the house

Well finally took some pictures of the yard and new pool deck(well not a new deck) just revamped deck. Don painted it, put lattice around the bottom to cover all the junk under it, and we bought a market umbrella and still to be done, new stones around the pool and deck, furniture added up there and welll last but not least we need to open the pool BUT the cotton wood seeds are a blowing very badly right now so as soon as they are done we will open it.

Now I will share with you one of my favorite little corners on the side of my front porch. I just love my frogs even though they are really starting to show their age(about 6 yrs old)

Now i will just take you around to some of my flower beds. Pictures just do not do them justice they are beautiful in person. Weedy but pretty. The mosquitoes are sooooooooo soooooo bad I cannot even get out there and work(I am allergic to bug sprays so we just enjoy the weeed along with the flowers)

Today is a work day for me and I refuse to leave the house whoops forgot already ran to the post office. I am getting ready to bake a turkey for dinner tonight. DAY NUMBER TWO WITH LILY

I took some better pictures of her today. I am really tired i did not sleep real well last night worrying about our doggie. Anyway that is a nasty toy she loves so much I have already cut off the eyes, nose, and pulled the stuffing out of it so she would not choke. And she has taken over our couch that is why there is a throw on it. She really was good last night we crated her and she howled for about 5 minutes then settled down. Then I got up and went to bed and she howled for about 15 minutes but I just went to sleep and so did she.

so tomorrow she has a vet appointment and Thursday she has a groomer appointment to get bathed. Boy if she only knew what was in store for her.
AND YES WE DID NAME HER LILY.Her and Don have walked alot of miles in the last 24 hours. She loves to be outside.
And from what we have seen on the internet she sure looks MORE pug then beagle.

LOOK WHO CAME TO LIVE WITH US

We think we are going to name her LILY but not 100percent certain yet. We have been visiting the dog pounds for the last couple of weeks because Don wanted a dog. Well this is the one he fell in love with last week BUT there were two other people that were in front of him on the hold list for her. BUT guess what? She was meant to live with us because nobody else showed up to get her. So here she is as far as we know she is about 2 years old and a puggle which if you do not know is pug and beagle mix. She is very smart and very friendly. We are going to have her "fixed" within the next week or so then lets just hope she adopts us like we have adopted her. I have never had a house dog before but I am ready for her.

Monday at the Moore's house

well the snow is finally starting to melt and dripping all over. I am fine with that and really happy because we have had two days of sunshine. EEKKK look out the door after dinner tonight (I grilled hamburgers on the grill) and IT IS SNOWING AGAIN!!!!
Well today I worked on some projects in my shop. I am working on a cow from Anniescupboard. I made one last year and just loved it and one day I was walking by my pattern basket and it just called out my name. Here she is waiting in the make-up chair

AND HERE she is after make-up but still no arms, legs, or clothes

I am also working on a new doll(for me anyway) It is a pattern of sweetmeadowsfarm. I have had to alter it some to make it fit for what I have in mind. Here is her legs and arms getting worked on.

My friend Maureen from cplg posted this recipe and thought I would share it with all of you. Hope she doesn't mind, don't know who to give the credit to for this recipe so MO I give it to you.

Chip and Nut Blondie Cake Bars

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup sucralose-brown sugar blend
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/3 cups (8-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S Sugar Free Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1/4 teaspoon shortening(do not use butter, margarine, spreads or oil)

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 8- or 9-inch square baking pan.

2. Beat butter and brown sugar blend in large bowl until well blended. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.

3. Set aside 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Stir the remaining chips and nuts into batter. Spread batter in prepared pan.

4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cake begins to pull from sides of pan, toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and surface is lightly browned. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely in pan on wire rack. (As it cools the center will look underbaked.)

5. Place reserved 2 tablespoons chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at at time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and smooth when stirred. Drizzle melted chocolate over surface of cake; allow to set. Cut into bars. About 24 bars.

Nutritional Information (1/24th recipe or 1 bar):
Calories: 80, Total Fat: 4.5g, Saturated Fat: 1.5g, Trans Fat: 0g, Cholesterol: 15mg, Sodium: 85mg, Total Carbohydrates: 11g, Dietary Fiber: 0g, Sugars: 5g, Protein: 1g, Vitamin A: 2%DV*, Vitamin C: 0%DV*, Calcium: 0%DV*, Iron: 2%DV*
*DV= % Daily Values are calculated based on 2000 calorie diet

I was just looking around our home and noticed all the different nativity scenes we put up for Christmas. I try really hard to try to keep remembering why we celebrate Christmas and this has become a past time of mine. I seem to find all different kinds of nativities. I have them in globes, made from wood, made from plastic, one of the last ceramic pieces I made, ornaments. I love them all. So I took pictures of some of them to post here for all to see. Hope it will let you take time to pause and remember what this time of year is really all about.

This is a wooden one I bought on ebay just this year. It is an ornament and wooden. This lady did a fabulous job on these and handcrafted the whole thing. she is from West Chester, Ohio which is just south of us. Out of all the people on ebay I found somebody to buy from that is almost a neighbor. As soon as I am done here I will go get the link to her ebay and post it here in case somebody would like to buy one from her. This is a porcelin one we bought at Elder-Beermans years ago. We bought all 5 of our grown children this set that year and gave it to them for Christmas. I really hope they all still have it and display it at Christmas every year.

This is an ornament my daughter, Barb, made. She still makes them and sells them at craft shows and she used to sell them on my website when I had one.

This is a wooden one I fell in love with at a craft show years ago. I no longer do the show as a vendor but still like to go shop at it. Hope to get back in it next yearand sell my items.

This is one in a glass ball that sits here on my desk right in front of my face. I think it is beautiful.

And last but not least is our big one in the yard. We collected this until we had all the pieces. My daughters boss(her pastor) even went out the day after Christmas to get the animals half price for us(thank you Mark Partin) Don built the stable for it and it has spot lights on it for night. LOve it.

whoops almost forgot this one. Good thing Don pointed it out to me. This is one I bought years and years ago at a craft show. A man made all these with a scroll saw. I have an amish buggy one too. I leave these up all year because they are small and sit on the ledge of our wood trim.

Don has been trying to get some pictures of our outside decorations but they have all come out blurry. He has tried two nights in a row so I am going to post what we have and will try and take some myself(not that they will be any better) I do not think our camera likes the cold snowy weather out there. enjoy and I hope to get some of the inside of our house as soon as I clean the clutter up laying around.

Well today Don and I went downtown to see our son in law get a promotion to lieutenant in the Dayton fire department. Congratulations Ray way to go whoo hooo.
you see him getting pinned, swearing in, and just standing around with all of us. Our daughter Donna, Don, Ray and well I am taking the pictures so I am not in them.

We have been cleaning out our flower beds for the last two or three days and this granny is sure sore. Well off to cook dinner, and Jane and her family are coming for the weekend so gotta clean the beds off so they have someplace to sleep.

My newest Christmas project

Ok so it looks like one of those years I am going to decorate to the highest degree. I do take spells when I don't even care if the tree is up or not but this is not one of those years. So I decided to make myself some Christmas time valances for my kitchen window. First I had to think of a theme and since I already had some and really like the theme I picked GINGERBREAD as my theme. So I found some homespun at Walmart and bought it, got a valance out I did not use and measured it and that is what I will make my pattern from. Next I needed to find a gingerbread pattern I liked(still working on this) then I looked for some fabric to makes gingers out of to machine applique onto the homespun. Now mind you I have enough fabric in my shop to fill a semi truck but do you think I had any that was the color of gingerbread??? answer to that is NO NO NO. So off to Walmart again and well they didn't have what was in my mind but I found something I am going to work with HOWEVER I did get a fantastic buy on halloween shirts for next year. I bought six of them for one dollar each YES you heard me right one dollar. WOw and last week I was going to buy them when they were marked down to 7 dollars so you can see why I was so excited. Would never have found them if my honey. Don, wouldn't have come and got me while the lady was marking them. anyway I took some pictures of my valances in the working on them mode. When I finish them I will post pictures of them.
tomorrow I will take a picture of each of my new shirts.

More Christmas decorating

Today Don got the "stable" out and put it in the yard for the nativity scene. It is suppposed to rain and get cold after today so he wanted to finish all the preliminary decorating. He did finish the lights, put a huge wreath up on top of the house, put lights on the garage roof and got all the electrical cords together and set up. Our neighbors were putting their lights and wreaths up today too but I didn't get any pictures of that. And one lone flower is still blooming out in the flower bed that is soon to become a manager. So that is the pictures I am sharing with you today. Me??? I was in my shop sewing snowmen and grumpy raggedy ann's all day. whew I feel like I am getting no place fast.

Good news Christmas is comin....

I know I am not ready either however thought I would show you what is going on around our house. Between mulching leaves and cleaning out flower beds, Don is putting up our Christmas lights while the weather is nice. It has been in the 70's all week and he is getting jump start on it. Better then going up on that roof when it is cold, windy and rainy.
This year we are using colored icicle lights. I did get tired of the white little lights so last year after Christmas we bought all new icicle lights in colors. Can't wait to see them lite. He has to put the nativity scene out yet but that can be done in the cold weather. He did get it out and put it in the garage so at Thanksgiving day we will be putting it up.

CHRISTMAS. Well we put all the halloween/fall decorations down yesterday and now I need to find their container and store them for another year. I did leave the turkeys up and the fall leaves in the center of the dining table. Put a new table cloth on with harvest bounty on it. Put the turkey flag out by the front door. Don is out looking for our new Christmas lights we bought last year. We used the white(clear) icile lights for years and last year we bought all new ones. Since I am tired of the white ones we bought colored lights for this year. He has pulled all the nativity scene from the shed, picked up all the yard debris from the flower beds. and what have I been doing you ask???? Well to start with I straightened up the house, ran the sweeper and will be getting back to ornament making here real soon. Posting pictures of what I am working on. I belong to a group on ebay called COUNTRY&PRIMITIVE LADIES GROUP. Although I have never met these ladies face to face we have been sharing our lives with each other for about 4 years now. They are some of the nicest ladies and girls you could ever meet. Anyways we do an ornament exchange ever year about this time. Our dear friend Marissa*Raggedycabin* on ebay hosts it. We make our ornaments send them to her with postage money and she fixes us each a box with one of each ornament and sends them back to us. That is what I am working on right now. So that is the mess you see in the pictures my work table and finished product^all 2 so far* plus a picture of my turkey in the dining room just cuz I think he is so cute. He is sitting on my "new" ladder I bought at a craft show in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

Well I am going to try to post some of my show pictures tonight. We will see how it goes. I loaded them on my lap top while in Pigeon Forge and now must put them on our desk top. I am pretty sure don figured out how to burn a disc of them so here goes.
Some of the first pictures are of our booth. Will take a while and I will just post them as they come.
I must say the weather for the most part was beautiful. Really cold at night until about noon and then the tent warmed up. Only rained one day but I did not go to the booth that day don and Janie did while I laid in bed with a heating pad on my back. I do not know what I did but pulled a muscle in there someway when I bent over to get a bag to put a doll in we sold. Ok now but boy sure did hurt alot for a few days.

Well not saying we were slow or anything but here are Barb and Jane on Sunday afternoon, Few people.. Oh yes in case you didn't know the three of us, Me, Barb and Jane(daughters) did this show together. Few people. Sunday is when most people head for home from Pigeon Forge and Monday is the day most people arrive at Pigeon Forge. We had a lot of tour buses unload outside the tent so that was fun. Really enjoyed meeting all the people and groups that came through. I have a picture someplace I took of a lady from Indiana that found us through my blog. I promise I saw your picture someplace just need to find it.

Now here is a picture of a group of ladies from INDIANA AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH from Lafollette, Tennessee. That is where Barb works and goes to church. They are a wonderful group of ladies and Barb is in the front on the left. Well this is all for tonight I am tired and I am working on my ornaments for my ornament swap with my CPLG group on ebay.

A FALL WALK `

Here it is another busy day trying to get ready. But I did take a few minutes and took a walk around the yard to enjoy the fall colors.

Well enough of the mums(my favorite flower) Now I will show you MORE pictures of our items for the PIGEON FORGE CRAFT SHOW IN THE BIG TENT. WE WILL BE SETTING UP ONE WEEK FROM TONIGHT. TO FIND US JUST TURN AT TRAFFIC LIGHT NUMBER 7 TOWARDS THE OLD MILL IN PIGEON FORGE TENNESSEE. WE WILL BE THERE FROM OCTOBER 18-24. THE HOURS ARE 10AM UNTIL 6PM.
So we were talking today and we decided to create a gingerbread girl and boy. so here they are in the beginning stages. I will post a picture of them finished later

Finished the last five snowmen today and since I do not remember how I finished the first load I just did my thing. wonder why I just didn't look?? because they are in tennessee at Janes house.
I just had to post pictures of the last two dolls I did yesterday and today. They really make me smile.

And last but not least tonight just gotta show you what a mess my studio is right now. I did two snowman wreaths and a scarecrow wreath tonight and that is them laying around waiting for me earlier today.

well we went on vacation to Gatlinburg Tennessee and while we were there they were setting up the tent for the craft show in PIGEON FORGE TENNESSEE IN PATRIOT PARK AT TRAFFIC LIGHT NUMBER 7, ON OCTOBER 18-24(that is the date we will be set up) It goes the whole month long. Here is the front where you go into the tent and well you can pose and take your picture there too. And here is the tent where people(crafters) are setting their booths up

Here is my lovely daughter,Janie,working late at night on some of her crafts getting ready for the show we are doing. We are at her home her in Sevierville, out in the middle of nowhere.

Now we are going for a look out front of my house of some of my fall decorations. It is so hard to believe it is this late in the year already. first picture is of our scarecrows and the second is of our Ole crows around the flag pole. I have taken some pictures of my front porch too with all the mums in bloom. Mums are my most favorite flowers.

Well I am working on two snowmen for my show. They are a pattern of Sweetmeadows farm. I was out in my studio painting on eyes and thought they looked just like two aliens sitting there on my painting table. I will post some pictures of them after they are finished. But for now this is how they look.
Also took a picture of all my "girls" sitting there on the shelf staring at me while I paint.

Still alive and well after the storm

Ok to begin with we had a HUGE wind storm here. Well being as we are rural we figured we would loose power. Little did we know for how long. I cannot believe I did not take one single picture of the mess. Well actually I was too busy just getting by with no power. See being rural means when there is no power there is no power to pump water out here. So no toilets work, no drinking water and no shower.
We did survive with a little help from our neighbors. We are the only family on this road that did not have a generator running. Well that will change we are going to invest in one before the year is out.
Don did hook up a light for me to craft with in the dark. Well it was hard to see but I did get some dolls put together. We have the huge show coming up and vacation so we needed to work.
Well let me show you what I worked on today. It has been a very productive day. Oh yes we do have our power back but so many do not.
Here are some primitive angel light boxes Don had ready for me to put the finishing touches to. Actually this morning they were just boxes tonight yu see what they are when finished

Then I worked on some santa wall hangers and got them finished. I really like them. I would like to have one of them for myself.

I finished the primitive snowman wall hangers too however I did not take a picture of them yet. I just came in from finishing them.

Now I have finished 6 little witches. I just think they are so cute. some have orange hair, some green, and some purple.

Last look at all the doll babies laying here waiting for me to put the finishing touches on.

Getting ready for our PIGEON FORGE craft show

Ok so you all think I have been just laying around taking it easy hey?? well let me tell you Don and i have been working like crazy to get ready for our craft show.

REMEMBER the one we are doing the third week of October in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It lasts for an entire week.

I will try and post some pictures of the items we have been working on and some waiting for me to put together yet.

The first pictue is a primitive wooden santa we have made. This is a new one for us and I will show you pictures of Don working on them in the garage. I take them from there

Now I will show you some pictures of all the items we have finished, painted,tagged, and priced.
We have snowman pole people, scarecrow pole people, santa pole people, wire hair angels, Pilgrim pudgie dolls, Witch pudgie doll, angel pudgie dolls, snowman primitive light boxes, primitive scarecrow light boxes, screen belly scarecrows, lighted salt box houses, scarecrow wall hangings and soooooo much more. I have alot of dolls to put together yet as you can see from all the body parts.

OUR NEW FLAG POLE

Well this has been a long time coming. I have wanted a flag pole for about 7 years now. Our neighbor, Chuck, said not to worry he would make me one! well he is a very busy man. But a month ago him and Don started on my flag pole. They welded, sanded, painted, welded some more and repainted more. and now thanks to Don(my husband) look at this beautiful flag pole in our yard. Don raised our flag this morning. It is beautiful. Now I am going to make a flower bed around it and plant some mums in it for fall. I thought a scarecrow in there would be nice too.

Well here I am back again. Since I last posted we went on vacation. It was the best vacation I ever had in my life. We drove to Daytona Beach Florida. We rented a condo on the beach right beside Crabby Joes. I have never ever enjoyed a vacation more ever. We walked the beach, slept, and ate, and swam in the pool. Such relaxation. I could not tell you if the stove worked in the condo or not since we never ever turned it on. I never made the bed, never washed very many dishes(a few) never cooked a meal. Wonderful I tell you. We sat on the balcony and watched people and listened to the surf. Oh I would move to Florida in a minute if we didn't have responsibilities here we cannot leave.

since I have been getting emails wondering how my garden is doing I went out and took some pictures of it to show you. I will take you a walk through our yard in pictures. It is weedy right now and since we are in a heat wave we are waiting for a little cooler weather. I have not been working too hard mostly laying in the pool and sewing on some dolls.

I promise I will TRY to keep this blog updated better. I have already whipped myself with a wet noodle. Don bought me an ipod the other day and we have been struggling trying to get some music on it. It is just a tiny little shuffle but it is so perfect for me. So far we have put a lot of praise and worship songs on it, the ocean relaxing disc I own, and the Booth brothers gospel songs. However we have NO IDEA whatso ever how we managed to do it. Just gonna listen to them right now and wait for one of our kids or grandkids to come and visit and show me HOW we did it.

Yes a beautiful day here at our house. We laid in the sun today to "try" to get our bodies in some kind of color for our Florida vacation. Well I lasted 10 minutes got hot and bored so came in and dressed again and left Don out there. I finished my first scarecrow wreath today and listed it on ebay.
Well I weeded the garden a little, planted some seeds out front in the middle flower bed, and cooked dinner.
Our good friend Cindy called and said she was bringing somebody out to visit and it was a surprise. Well it sure was Judy meersman and her oldest, Christopher, and Becka my my I taught Christopher in the two and three year olds and now he is a VERY tall handsome young man. Just completed his first year of college. whew I sure felt old.
was really good to see them again. They live in Virginia now . Well off to embroidery some more making some aprons for some angel dolls

SUNNY SUNNY DAY

oh I love the sunshine. What a differnce if the sun is shining. We did not do much today. I worked on some dolls, pulled some weeds, did some laundry, and worked on my witch a little bit.

I cooked chicken breast on the grill for dinner, baked potatoe, and green beans. We have that meal alot because it is easy and low fat.

well I took some more pictures of my witch. She is a bit farther along but still not completed. Sure am liking this lady. I meant to tell you she is from a pattern of Karen at RKCREATIONS.

I will post some as I go along, I am going out and shoot some pictures of our "little" garden plot right now before it gets dark

So sorry it has been so long since I have been in here. While reading some forums lately it is so depressing. All they talk about is the poor economy, gas prices, and nobody buying crafts. Well the gas is high and the economy is lacking but I still love making crafts so I am going to try to look on the up side of this business. I have met some wonderful people on line. Really great customers. I will probably be giving my website up real soon but not because of the economy. It is because of time. I will be selling on ebay, Etsy, and toying with the idea of opening an ezshoppe http://www.ezshoppes.com/. I have had one before and it is a good outlet to put your items in. I will be selling on here in my blog too so if you see something you like just shoot me an email and we will see what we can work out.

Here is what I have been working on lately. Mostly my garden, flower beds, and looky at this witch. I have had so much fun making her. She is so different from anything I have ever made before, and she is BIG. About 36 inches long. Cannot decide whether to sell her or keep her. I really have grown attached to her.

Well that is all that is up here. I do not feel real good right now. I have hurt my back or something or else my liver and kidneys have been moved around. Just a little humor there. If I do not feel better by next week I guess I will have to call the dreaded doctor and see what HE has to say.

Good Morning Mother

Well early this morning or late last night, we are not really sure. The big brown truck was here. When Don got up to go out and get the paper this morning look what was sitting outside the door. What a pleasant surprise to wake up to in the morning. A bouquet of mothers day flowers from my son and his family.

Thank you Andy,Mel,Jacob and Colin mom and grandma love her flowers. I will take pictures of my other gifts Barb and Jane got me and post them later. I am washing the top right now. Well Barb bought me some flats of flowers I have been posting earlier and most are already planted in the ground. Jane and Barb pooled their money and bought me a pair of capri's and a top. Jane gave me a pair of Coach sunglasses. They are getting me ready for our trip in June to Daytona Beach. Donna bought me a 50.00 top up card for my cell phone. Thank you all so very much you are wonderful children and I am proud of each and every one of you.

Rainy movie day

Well last night we decided we were going to do something completely silly today. We didn't care gas is 3.79 a gallon and groceries are thru the roof. We decided to do a useless retirement day. We went to the movie house after lunch and saw IRONMAN. Ok first let me tell you I am a huge fan of all comic book movies with super heroes. Ironman was a good movie and love the previews for the new Batman, Incredible Hulk, and Indiana Jones. So hopefully we will get to the movie house to see them. Can't beat the movies in the afternoon in the middle of the week. Like a private showing only about 7 of us in the whole place. Love the loud sound and the BIG pictures and action.
When we came out it was pouring down rain. Well being the "look ahead" person in our home I had a raincoat on We left there and decided to go to Long John Silvers for some fish and more. I know completely unhealthy and well we just didn't care today. After we ate that we went to Dairy Queen and got and ice cream cone for dessert. It was an excellent day and I enjoyed every single minute of it. Now back to work.

Busy week so far

Well I have had a busy week so far. Yesterday (Tuesday) I got up and made spaghetti sauce for dinner, did my house work, leaped onto the tractor and mowed the acre, went and bought the weeks groceries, went to mom and dads and took flower pot over I made her for Mothersday, took their weekly groceries to them, cut their hair and planted marigolds in their patio flower bed. Whew, we came home and I worked on my nurse doll. I have taken pictures of her laying in my shop awaiting her face. I also snapped some pictures of our shade garden now. Don edged it today and it looks so pretty. Pictures just do not do it justice. I also took some pictues of our front porch. I have it ready for summer. The hostas are growing so big now. I did finish my nurse doll and listed her on ebay. Notice the arms in legs in that picture?? Those are for some snowmen I am working on.

Well we just finished eating dinner. Tonight I grilled us each a steak on the grill and baked potatoes and baked beans. We rarely eat steak anymore so this tasted soooo good. Off to work on a few more dolls. They are fall dolls with pumpkins on their clothes. Working on inventory for my week long show in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. In case you have forgotten it is the THIRD WEEK OF OCTOBER IN THE TENT IN PATRIOT PARK. IF YOU KNOW WHERE THE OLD MILL OR PIGEON FORGE POTTERY ARE YOU WILL FIND THE TENT THERE. hOPE to see some of you there.

Sickly Sunday

Well I must say it has been a long long time since I have been sick so I was really surprised last night when I didn't feel well. Went on to bed and boy what a bad night. Don said I coughed all night long. I don't remember that but I do believe I had a fever because I would wake up and feel like I was in a furnace and then I would shiver cold. Still feel bad today. I didn't even crawl out of bed until after noon. I really wanted to go to my parents today and take their groceries to them and take mom her flower I potted her for Mothers day. I also bought some marigolds to plant for her. Those are the flowers she has requested. And I wanted to finish a doll I have almost done, and I wanted to work a little in my flower beds, and I wanted to mow the lawn, and I wanted to go to church this morning. However what I wanted to do and what I did do are two different things. I basically slugged around from one chair to another after I did crawl out of bed. I still feel lousy tonight with a fever and throat issue however tomorrow is another day and it is supposed to be sunny and warm so I guess if I still feel bad I can sit on the front porch and work on some dolls.
So sorry this is a bad post but tomorrow will be better.

Today I worked all day in my shop. I painted a face on an angel raggedy I am making, and painted alllll those legs that I had laying around out there. wanted to really do more but ran out of time.
Came in and Don and I went out to dinner and to the video store. I rented Legend, which I understand Will Smith dies in the end. :( oh well wanted to see it anyway.
That has been our thrilling Saturday.

May Day Hair cut day

Well today is May day. Well that means nothing to me except when I was in grade school. We used to weave pretty color ribbons on a may pole. In the little town I grew up in that was a big occassion. The only thing I did today on May day was go get my hair cut and styled. Do NOT like how she did my hair at all today. Good thing it grows out. I usually really like it alot we just got to talking about potting soil for our flower pots and well she just kept cutting and cutting and cutting.
Don could not sleep very well last night so he was up with the birds this morning. When I stumbled out here about 9:30am he had already gone to Lowes and in our front yard lays lots and lot and lots of bags of mulch. Since both of us did not feel up to spreading it today it will have to wait for another time. I did get my red and white impatients planted, transplanted some more mums around the front flower bed, and dug out around our bradford pear and planted some creeping phlox around it for next spring.
Don finished the bathroom today and it looks fabulous. He hung the mirror and put the sink fixtures on. I am really please how it all came together in the end.
Well there was NO crafting done today but tomorrow it is supposed to rain so I will probably be in my studio all day cutting out pudgie clothes. Have 6 Uncle Sam outfits cut out, 4 witches, and 12 angels so tomorrow I will work on some others.

NEW old dolls and flowers in the frost

Well you probably wonder what that title is about . Well to begin with we bought all these flowers to plant on Saturday and I am so glad they are not in the ground. Tonight and last night were frosty. I placed them all in the garage and they are sitting there just waiting for spring to arrive. Today we went to Walmart for groceries and we also bought dirt for my flower pots. So here it all sits.

Now about the new old dolls. About 5 years ago these are the dolls I made and sold all the time. I had people collect them but then I started making raggedy dolls and the pudgie girls got pushed aside. The people on the Internet did not seem interested in them so I moved on. However we are doing our show this fall in PIGEON FORGE TENNESSEE IN THE TENT BEHIND THE OLD MILL THE THIRD WEEK OF OCTOBER. So we stopped in at Countryside crafts http://www.countrysidepatterns.com/ when we were out shopping on Saturday and they were having a craft class and making the kite flying doll. Just fell in love with her sooooo to make a long story short I have started making my pudgies again. I have angels, Bitsy Ross, Uncle Sam, Trick or treat little girls dressed in pumpkin outfit and a cute little witch. I will post pictures as I finish them. I also bought the watermelon doll pattern. So I have posted the pictures of the doll parts I worked on today and painted and glued together. Keep checking back for updates on the dolls pictures.

My desktop computer is not taking my camera card anymore so getting pictures in here is a real pain. First i have to put them on my lap top then transfer them to a photo image place then come in here and retrieve them sooooo until I get it fixed there will probably be fewer pictures :( so sad.

Well gonna go "try" to figure out My space so I can check out my daughters and granddaughters lives. If I am not back soon come looking for me BAw Haw Haw

Busy Weekend

Well Barb and Jane, Brandon and Kaila arrived here on Thursday night around midnight. On Friday they decided we needed to go to the nursery and buy flowers. Off we went. I love going there but it is a little early in the season to plant all of them. Barb bought me a flat of yellow petunias and a flat of red and white impatience for mothers day. We brought all our flowers home and I potted my mother a pot for mothers day. This year I made all the flowers pink in it. I will keep it for a few weeks to get it growing before I take it to her. I bought the same to pot for my mother in law for mothers day but ran out of potting soil so I will get some this week at the store. Then Kaila and I planted some yellow petunias in a flower box and sat it back in place. I still have 3 huge geraniums to plant, some white flowers(?) for the hanging pots on the front porch, and some pretty pink flowers(?) for some pots. Still need to buy a flat of marigolds and a flat of red petunias and a flat of white petunias.
Then they went and got mom and dad while I got supper ready. We grilled hamburgers, baked french fries, and baked beans. Then we all sat on the front porch and just talked.
On Saturday my feet and legs hurt me very bad. They thought we needed to go shopping so I left with them and we went to Wertz's a local five and ten cent store we all love. They have the best fabrics for low prices. So I bought a whole bunch of fabrics and we left to go to a little craft store up the road. We found it boring and they had the same merchandise as when we were there 3 years ago. They wanted to go to Joann fabrics but my legs hurt too bad and I just wanted to get home and into bed with my feet and legs up. We passed by countryside crafts and decided to stop there. That was alright because I knew I could sit there and talk to Suzie and Linda(the owners) they were finishing up with their morning craft class so I bought a kit to make the project. A darling little pudgie flying a kite I can't wait to start her.
We came home then and they went over to mom and dads to see how dad was. He fell out of bed on Friday night so they just wanted to stay home. I went to bed and put my feet and legs up while they went there. They told me he was alright just scraped up. So relieved to hear that don't know if I could handle another crisis at the moment.
They left to go home after we got home from church this morning. It is now 9:20pm and they are still on the road. They got into HEAVY rain all the way home and could not see the highway in some places. So Barb had to drive Jane home that is another two hours from her house then pick David up and drive back home. I hope the girls never ever drive this way again. Or else leave early in the morning for home.
Don is doing a whole lot better and his leg is hurting less and less but he is still not allowed to lift for another week
We are getting cold weather this week and possible frost so it is good we didn't plant the flowers out yet.

Finally another post

Well here it is almost a week since I have posted anything. What a week it has been. We were sitting in church on Sunday morning when Don said lets go I don't feel good. So that really surprised and scared me since he never ever does anything like that. After we got outside then he told me he was real light headed and dizzy, his hands were real sweaty and clamy, and his chest hurt. Well since he has a history of stroke and open heart I told him we were going to ER. Of coarse he said no I'll just go home and lay down a little while. Wellllll let me tell you I was driving so we went to ER. What a lonely feeling that is. Sitting in waiting room all alone while he is in there. However enough feeling sorry for myself. We were in the ER for about 4 hours and they took him to a room overnight they said. Well on Monday they decided to do a heart Cath on him just to make sure. Thank goodness Donna, our daughter took off work and came and got me and drove me there. Don't know what I would have done without her there. To make a long story short he is fine Whew and back home sitting on the couch watching tv. He cannot lift anything for 2 weeks and could not drive for two days.

I did get a doll finished today. She is a raggedy angel I have been working on for a few weeks now. I just wasn't sure how to make her wings. I made her about three sets before I liked the last one. Then I had to figure out how to attach them. She is now listed on ebay.

Just want to show you a few pictures of my neighbors side garden that I look out my bedroom window to each morning. It is just so beautiful right now. Such a great way to wake up in the morning. Our red bud tree is really pretty this year too. The first year it has bloomed. I bought it from one of those magazines where they are 1cent. Well that was about 8 years ago. When it was planted it was about as big around as my little finger. Its brother or sister don't know which was eaten by a rabbit, so sad. But this one is beautiful this year.

Well time to go soak in a hot tub of water. Barb and Jane (my two daughters from Tennessee) are on the interstate driving here right now and I need to go pray awhile that they have a safe trip. This is the first time they have come alone without husbands driving. Kaila(granddaughter) and Brandon(grandson) are with them and also Maggie(granddog)

The weather is supposed to turn rainy and cold this week end that is sad to me because I love this warm sunny weather

Earthquake sunny summerlike Friday

Well they said we had an earthquake today but we didn't feel anything. Whew I am glad of that. It was simply perfect weather here today. We started early this morning and dug all the hostas out from the front of the house. I really wanted to redo the front flower beds in front of our front porch this year. Welllll after they were dug up and thrown into the front yard don started to "edge" the flower beds all around the house. I started the roto tiller and went to town. OH MY GOSH I thought my arms and hands were gonna fall off. I did get it done. went next door and Judi let me borrow her new tool to split flowers. OH MY GOSH my body protested the whole time. Well the hostas got split into four pieces so we had hosta everywhere. Judi took an entire wheelbarrow full of them to plant in her woodland garden. I planted the front of the flower bed and we still have an entire wheel barrow full of them. Dons mom and sisters are coming tomorrow and they want them.

then I split some mums and planted them all around the edge of the front beds. Mums are one of my favorite flowers. After that we came in and took showers and plopped on the couch and chair. then I had to finish doing laundry and grilling chicken on the grill for dinner.
See my bradford pear tree in the front yard? This is the first year it has flowered. All the other years the flowers always froze before they bloomed. It is so pretty.
Well gonna go work on a raggedy doll.

Scarecrows on the front porch

Today was a beautiful day at our house. I cleaned house in the morning then I hauled all my "equipment" out to the front porch. I am working on 2 scarecrow wreaths. They are coming right along as you can see by the pictures.
this is my fav time of year just right temps, sunny, and I love to craft out on the front porch and it is so relaxing.

Tonight my neighbor brought over a hosta I have wanted for three years. She had Chuck, her husband dig me a start. It is sum and substance and it is beautiful. Well one thing led to another and I wound up digging up a big clump of hosta from the front flower bed, weeded all the unwanted weeds out and dug a hole for the "new" hosta. Needless to say I am sore now.

grocery day yuck

Well it was a beautiful day. I thought it was chilly because the wind . Well we ate lunch and then went to the grocery store.
Came home I cooked hamburgers on the grill, baked some french fries, and opened a can of baked beans. wallla dinner.
After dinner I went to my studio and I cleaned it. Ran the vacuum and dusted and put patterns and fabric away. Now I am ready to get out there and work.
well I was going to print my Sadie and Jinx pattern out tonight that Debbie from simple country blessings gave me and lol and behold I couldn't find it anyplace on my computer. So being the dear she is I was going to buy one but she is in my fav ebay group, Country&Primitive ladies group, and she resent me the pattern THANK YOU DEBBIE.
Well it is printed out now and tomorrow I hope to cut it out and sew it. Think they would be good to sell at my show the third week of October in the rotary tent behind the OLD Mill in Pidgeon Forge Tennessee

Sunny Tuesday at our house

So today was really a beautiful day. Just a tad chilly. I looked out the window and Don had the tractor out mowing the yard. So after I cleaned the lunch dishes up and started the dishwasher I headed out the door. He was picking sticks up all back there by the woods, must have been a thousand on the ground. So I jumped(well maybe not jumped) onto the tractor and took off. I mowed the back yard. Loved it even though I had to empty the bags full of debris two times and unclog a bunch of wet grass out of the tube leading from the mower to the bags. The certainly got me dirty. Loved every minute of it except my body sure did hurt when I finished

so then I went around front and set the barrel up with the pump and started it after Don showed me how to put it together. We eventually got it to work but the pump sure looks bad. Guess we will be trying to paint it or get a new one.

It sounds wonderful sitting on the porch though with the running water. I have the cushions on the chairs and the porch swing pad cleaned all ready for us to sit out there now.

My birthday flowers are now two weeks old today and still look really pretty. I have them sitting on the old farm table on our front porch. I think the "cool" evenings are why they are staying so nice so long.

I was looking around my shop tonight and my goodness look at all the projects laying around for me to finish. And those doll legs just keep multiplying for me to paint. Guess I need to work on some ufp before I start something else new.

I finished a doll and listed her on ebay tonight. She is an Americana raggedy with a flag. I really almost kept her. I really like her alot

well biggest loser is on so I have to cut this off and go watch

Monday Monday da da da

Well today was another cold day. We are supposed to get a freeze or frost or something tonight. Warning we better cover our plants. Well I didn't I figure GOD is in control and if my plants die they die. They are all perennials so they usually come back. They froze last year, well the hostas did and they returned a little battered and their leaves had some damage but I just trimmed it off. The only flowers I have planted this year are my pansies and they seem to grow just fine even after they freeze. They just thaw themselves out and shake the ice off and bloom real pretty.
Today I got up late, around 9 o'clock and threw some laundry in the washer. I came out and flipped the computer on and then I checked all emails. Nothing that needed attention so I went and got dressed.
Well pretty soon it was lunch time so I made our dinner while I made my lunch.
I made a chicken noodle casserole and put it in the fridge to cook later tonight. After lunch we went to visit my mother in law. She is really depressed but I hope when the sun comes out again and the warm weather she will perk up a bit. It is not like her at all to be down. Well Carol, my sister in law, is coming to visit her this week. Carol and Skip live in Atlanta, Georgia and she is so much fun to be around so I know my mother in law will perk up when Carol gets here.
We did not eat our chicken noodle casserole for dinner we ate a big boy platter.
Don has been hungry for Frish's all week so we stopped on the way home and ate dinner(not one of my favs) but he likes it alot. The prices on the menu have gone up so much I doubt if we will be eating there again any time soon.
Well that is the "excitement" in grandma and grandpas life today.
I did work on a scarecrow head tonight and have his face "almost" embroidered on.

Today was a cold Sunday and I got cold in the car this week on the way to church. I even wore my winter coat today. It was a real good service. Rick is a great preacher and I enjoy his sermons very much.
we stopped at Long John Silvers on the way home and got two fish and more meals and brought them home. They were ok. After that I read the paper and then laid down on the bed to try to get warm. Next thing I knew it was an hour later that I got up. Nice nap.
We then got in the car and went to Wendy's and got my dad a cheeseburger kids meal, and mom fries. Then we went to the Dairy Queen and bought mom a peanut butter cup blizzard. Our usual take out for them on Sunday evenings. We took it over and Don fixed Dads computer while we were there. The computer was on mute that is why he could not get any sound. So don unmuted it and I played one of his many many music discs on it and it worked fine and dandy.
We visited until after 6pm and I was starting to get hungry so we came home and heated left over beef stew for dinner tonight and here I am.
Going to go over in my chair here in a minute and work on my scarecrow hats and faces.
Hope tomorrow is a sunny day I am ready to get out and work in the yard again and I HOPE to start walking a little. I really need to get about 20 pounds off .
I figure I will feel alot better too.

Cold Saturday at Grandpa and Grandma's

Brrrr.... what happened to spring? This has been a very cold, boring day at our house. We are replacing all the doors in our house so Don worked on that all day today. I think he has them all on now and just needs to put one more door knob on the spare bedroom door then on to the next project. I believe that is fixing the lawn mower for the summer mowing.

Today I worked out in my shop all day. First I sewed some arms and legs up that I had stuffed last night. Then I got out the fall patterns and cut out some hats, shirts and scarves for scarecrow wreaths. Hope to have a few of them done in the next few weeks. I will put one on ebay and one on Etsy. Hope people are in the fall mood LOL. I also have been working on some fall outfits for my dolls. I just need to get them all put together now.

I found some containers I bought at Cracker Barrel last fall. They are americana wash tubs I plan on drilling holes in the bottom of them and filling them with flowers for my front porch.

Well here it is another week has passed. Time is sure flying by. It was warm here today with rain off and on. Don went and gave blood this morning for his cardiologist. I worked in the house until after lunch and then I went to my shop and sewed doll bodies and clothes.

I displayed this one in my kitchen on my all year long tree. Some day I will take a picture of all of them and where they are in my home.

Spring has arrived at my house

Well look what has arrived at my house. Spring time. At least for a few days then back to cold for a few days. Thought I would share some of my spring flowers with you. I just purchased some pansies today and planted them in the herb bed. Did you know pansies were edible? Pretty and tasty.

The flowers in the vase are my birthday flowers my good friend Cindy sent me. They are now 8 days old and still look pretty.

The side of my house is in full bloom with the daffodils so pretty and smell so bad. Have you ever smelled a daffodils? They stink!

Today I worked on some doll clothes and some legs for some bodies. We also went shopping and bought my parents their weekly groceries and took them over to them. Well enjoy the pictures and see you later

sunny monday and granny can't move

Oh the flower beds were calling my name today. It was sunny and 69 degrees. I opened all the windows in the house but woe is me I was too sore to work in my flower beds. My plans for today were to go into my stuido and sew doll bodies. What i actually did was laundry, vacuum, and cook blek. Oh well there is always tomorrow.
We have decided to go grocery shopping tomorrow so that will be another blek day. I do not enjoy grocery shopping at all.
I do know I am buying some junk food this week. I cooked chicken on the grill for dinner tonight. Baked french fries and green beans. Not an exciting meal but filling.
Talked to a couple of my daughters today and all is well with those families.
Hope some day to show some techniques here on my blog along with some dolls that will be for sale. My long range goal is to close my website and use my blog to sell my crafts.
first I need to learn how to work this blog thing better.
I received a wonderful surprise in the mail today. One of my prim friends from my ebay group country and primitive ladies group sent me a big envelope filled with grungy tags in it. Thank you Becky I appreciate them so much

whew another day in the flower beds

well let me tell you it was beautiful weather here today. I did not even get cold in the car going to church this morning. In fact when we left church to come home we cracked the car windows and I threw my coat into the back seat.
Don found a condo to rent in Daytona beach the third week of June so now I am getting excited. After he made reservations and we grabbed a bite to eat and I do mean bite. It was not a good food day here at our house.
Then we went back out into the flower beds. Today we cleaned the shade garden up it is so pretty when I look out the window now. The hostas, bluebells, and tulips are all growing so fast. In fact the daffodil and the blue bells are blooming. Wellllll let me tell you I thought I was sore yesterday but tonight I doubt if I will sleep very much.

Then I downloaded my new virus protection onto my lap top, painted some doll faces on, and took pictures and listed one of them on my ebay. Thinking about putting the other one at Etsy.
Well that has been our Sunday this week. Really a good day.

Sunny Saturday in the flower beds

It was beautiful here today. Sunny, a bit chilly, but the sun was out all day long. So after I ate my lunch(I am not a morning person at all) I got the old garden gym shoes on, the old sweats, and two jackets. Two so I could peel one off when I got too hot. Started in the front flower bed that is in the middle of our yard. Well in the fall we put hay bales in it with scarecrows and pumpkins, when that is over we spread the hay bales in the flower bed and put our nativity scene on it for Christmas. Well after that we just let it lay there until spring and that is the mess I cleaned up first with a pitch fork. Had to be careful not to break the tulips off that were coming up. Well talk about an out of shape old lady. Whew I think I rested more then I raked.
Then Don came out and we worked together. Got some done today most all around the house but not all.
It always amazes me how all the flowers come up at just the right time each year. I love spring. It is my favorite time of the year.
Our neighbors were out in their back yard all day cleaning their pond out and putting the pond plants in. The guppies are already about as long as my little finger. Really early this year we have not even been able to hear the frogs courting this year.
Well we have warm weather predicted all next week so I will be gardening more then crafting.
Just need to add this note at the end I can hardly move tonight and soaked in a hot tub of water. Going to go look for the heating pad right now

A hard day of work in my studio

Today was a nice day to just slop around in my sweats and craft. I went to my studio after lunch and there were two little ladies out their impatiently waiting to have their pictures taken. Well I cut out 7 more doll bodies, 14 legs, and 14 arms. I cut out 3 new americana outfits for some naked bodies in here, then I sewed those outfits up and brought them in my house. That is because I dress my dolls while
we watch tv here in the evenings. Then I got the bright idea to try and take a new group picture of some of my dolls. It didn't turn out very good so I will try again at a later date.

I never did get any legs painted there they lay all in a heap just waiting on me to get to them,
Hummm there is always tomorrow. I did take the little ladies pictures and one is listed on my ebay and the other in my Etsy shop. I have the links to my shops over on the right hand side .

A rainy day at my house

Well the weather man was right. Well almost right anyway. It was gloomy here most of the day and didn't start raining until later this evening. Well I didn't get to craft much today why??? well for one thing I needed to do laundry so we would have some clothes to wear tomorrow. And we needed to visit my mother in law. She lives in the city of Dayton about 25 minutes from here. We stayed there for awhile and then left to come home. Well I sure didn't want to cook tonight however I did wind up cooking. I put some ham steaks on the grill, baked a couple of potatoes, and I had brocolli.

I am really trying hard to learn this blogging and thanks to some friends at prim mart http://www.primmartcommunity.com/forum/ and my good buddy Debbie at Simple country Blessings http://simplecountryblessings.blogspot.com/ I was able to put a few links for other crafting blogs in here and sure have a lot more to come. I think I am one of the last crafters to have a blog.

now on with my "exciting" day. After we ate dinner we went to my parents and delivered a computer chair. My mother has her computer set up now to play card games on and needed some place to sit. Mind you for those that do not know my parents are 84 and 86 and each have their own computers.

Well tomorrow is another day and I know I am not getting dressed all day and I am going to my studio and work. The day after my birthday

Well yesterday was my 62 birthday. Humm I do not feel any older. Well the sun was out today and the wind died down a little. I am getting really anxious to get out into my flower beds. Just heard the weather report and it is going to be a rainy day tomorrow so I guess I will be sewing doll clothes, painting legs and boots and mittens on snowmen.

love the pattern I am working on right now. It is the pattern of Maureens at sweetmeadowsfarm. so many different dolls on it. My goal is to make at least one of each doll. I am getting ready for my fall show that lasts for an entire week. Have never done a show that long before so really have no idea how much inventory to make.

It should be fun. My daughers live in Tennessee and we will all three going to do this show for the first time this year. I am rather nervous about it. I just hope physically I can do a week long show.

It is the third week of October in Pidgeon Forge behind the old mill in Patriot Park in the big tent. Well we do not actually have our booth yet but they have assured me that is no problem. We will see.

I am new to blogging so I hope I can make this interesting.

I do want to put links in here to all my friends websites, ebay listings, and now we are all in Etsy selling. These are my friends from my ebay group called COUNTRY AND PRIMITIVE LADIES GROUP. We have been online friends since I have started selling on ebay . I think around 4 or 5 years now. I would love to meet them in person someday. I feel like I know them already. Some are young with young families, some middle aged with teens and then a few of us "older" ones that are retired.
